PROVERBS for Business

Do you think of great ideas, only to forget them later?

Scripture: And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates Deuteronomy 11:20).

Today's ThoughtAll ideas have value, and some may be worth a lot of money for your business.  But if you can't remember your best ideas, you may miss some great opportunities.  Develop the habit of writing down all new thoughts in your planner, a notebook, or on a slip of paper.

Sort your ideas by topics for easy reference and retrieval.  Then create an idea file to store everthing.  Don't worry about the form of the file as much as creating and using the system.

Schedule time each month to look over your ideas.  Reading back through old thoughts might trigger even more ideas.  Some you can use now, some will have to wait until later, and others you may discard.  The important thing is that you keep track of your ideas so they don't slip away.

"Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart." - Proverbs 7:3

Our Spiritual Outlook

Are you more concerned about how you look physically? What about your spiritual outlook? Don't be spiritually naked and be full of clothes physically. Put on spiritual garment that the enemy can not tear apart. Get dressed spiritually. Put on peace, love, righteousness, faith, prayer without ceasing. Let them be your make-up that can't easily wipe off. It protects you from the attack and you become more attractive to blessings. How can you put on all this like a garment? It's the decisions that…See More

I recently committed to studying the Bible with my son(something I've been off & on with) everyday b4 dinner or during. He reads the chapter alone in the morning then during our study time we re read and discuss the lessons we learned from the reading and at the end of the week we each prepare a rap (something he enjoys doin) about what we learned. I asked him and made sure this is something he wants to do also and I KNOW the Lord wants us to Discipleship our children. I'm asking u guys…See More

Rev. Abiola replied to Ivy Anderson's discussion 'When do you address an offence?'
There is no denial that you have been hurt. And your emotion required you to act. Now the question is should my response be positive or negative? Well as children of God we're commanded to be positive always. With that in mind that whatever…

Application of His Word.

This is our weekly scripture to read, meditate on, and apply to our lives.

"Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, And so find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man." ~ Proverbs 3:3-4

Living A Spirit-Filled Life

Let's Make a Deal

We can be a legalistic lot. Put the option of daily devotions on the table most mornings, and too often the factor that finally tips us in the direction of prayer and Bible reading is the one that says, "God will be disappointed in me if I don't."

Is Your Marriage Morphing?

There's a parallel between this fictional movie and how couples relate in marriage. Andromeda grew and adapted to fit itself for survival, and as strange as it sounds, our marriages need that type of tenacity!

An Unlikely Friendship

I wish I’d known earlier that God blesses us with friends of all ages! When I graduated college, I floundered for a while. No one had warned me that I wouldn't always have a group of friends just like me.

Too Old to Connect with Teens?

Recently, I sat riveted under the rich teaching of Pastor Johnny Hunt. And I wasn't the only one. This year, Pastor Hunt will be sixty, but that didn't keep him from completely capturing the attention of 6,500 teenagers whose average age was probably fifteen!

Eureka! Studying the Bible with Our Children

I came to faith in Christ as a child, but struggled for years to have a consistent time of reading the Bible. About ten years ago, God gave me the idea of reading the Bible with my children, and that has been my quiet time ever since . . .
